“STRIVE Prep helped to change my future, and it helped me gain access to many opportunities that might have been harder or maybe impossible if I had attended another school.”
— Ulysses Estrada, STRIVE Prep Alum and Current Board Member
We believe that all families deserve access to a free, high-quality, public education in their neighborhood. That’s why we’ve opened our schools in areas of Denver that have previously not had college preparatory programs easily accessible to families. Choosing a high-quality school for your child shouldn’t be a revolutionary concept. At STRIVE Prep, we want to make it easier for families to choose and attend an excellent public school that’s just right for them.
For the 2017-18 school year STRIVE Prep has 11 schools serving scholars in grades K-12 throughout Far Northeast, Northwest and Southwest Denver.

STRIVE Preparatory Schools is a network of free, open enrollment public charter schools. We believe that students from all backgrounds deserve a college preparatory education regardless of race, economic circumstance, or previous academic achievement.
We welcome any scholar from kindergarten through twelfth grade who desires to STRIVE for college. Interested families must participate in the DPS SchoolChoice Enrollment process.
All families who wish to attend a STRIVE Prep school, must submit the DPS SchoolChoice Enrollment Form. Once submitted, DPS uses a set of region-specific enrollment criteria to prioritize families who are interested in attending any STRIVE Prep school.
We work closely with DPS to make every attempt to accommodate all families, particularly those with siblings who apply together in the same school year. Families should submit a separate SchoolChoice Form for each sibling considering enrollment.
We know choosing the right school for your child to enroll at can come with many questions. The Denver Public Schools Office of Choice and Enrollment Services has developed a list of Frequently Asked Questions to make the enrollment process easier.
