Academic Program
A passionate college-preparatory focus. At each campus, STRIVE Prep delivers an education of solid academic preparation by closing gaps in our students’ academic achievement and challenging them to exceed grade-level standards.
In order to achieve these critical yet demanding goals, we run small, safe, structured schools where students participate in a longer school day and longer school year, and complete challenging homework assignments daily. Our curriculum is intensive, with a strong focus on skill development, especially in the areas of literacy (150 minutes daily) and mathematics (110 minutes daily). At all of our campuses, students wear a simple uniform and commit to high behavioral expectations in the context of a joyful and accountable school community.
In addition to a rigorous academic program, students engage in thoughtful character education curriclum and have access to enrichment opportunities including sports, art, outdoor leadership and after-school programs.
In grades seven and eight, students engage in extensive high school preparatory activities, and we offer continued mentoring and support to our alumni, including tracking academic progress, college-prep fairs, exposure to community leaders, an ACT prep course, volunteer opportunities, and more.
