Welcome to STRIVE Prep - Kepner

Welcome to the second year of the STRIVE Prep-Kepner community! Last year, we welcomed our first group of our scholars, the college class of 2027. Our families and scholars laid the foundation for what it means to grow and learn as a family and we are so thrilled to double our community.

This year, our scholars will continue to engage in rigorous academics and read, read, read, as we get closer to college. They will engage in classes such as Visual Arts and Dance to develop their artistic skills and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of after-school clubs and athletics, including flag football, soccer, basketball and track. Students in our significant needs center will continue to work alongside their peers in multiple classes to promote collaboration, develop life skills and support the social and emotional growth of our entire community.

Throughout the year, we seek to build strong partnerships with our families and will have several scheduled opportunities, such as STRIVE Together Meetings, Family Council, Literacy Night and Coffee with the Principal, to engage with one another. We also strongly encourage families to join us on Friday afternoons from 12:55-1:25 for our weekly Community Meeting celebration and to reach out to your child's advisor anytime you are looking for additional or alternate ways to support your scholar.

We are so excited about another year of learning as a community and look forward to working alongside you as we prepare our scholars to STRIVE for college!

Scholar Shoutout

STRIVE Prep – Kepner is full of student leaders! Several of our students are taking the role of founding scholars very seriously by initiating student organizations. Two, in particular, Michael and Gio, have persevered in creating a newspaper club and a leadership organization. Thank you to both scholars (and all Mustangs who are still brainstorming) for striving to improve our school and community.

Community Partnerships

Every child can benefit from local community resources and even learn how to one day contribute to their own communities.  Together, our community will determine the partners best suited to meet our students’ needs.

We open our doors every day to prepare students for academic success from kindergarten through college, with an excellent public education of high standards, structure and accountability.
