Welcome to STRIVE Prep - Ruby Hill

Dear Families,

It was another great quarter at STRIVE Prep Ruby Hill. Some of the highlights included seeing everyone at Parent Teacher Conferences, Culture Night, Dad’s Day, our Holiday Potluck and our Holiday Concert!

As we enter Quarter 3, we will continue building the habits of college-bound scholars and maintain our focus on literacy. With this in mind, please continue to support your scholar by ensuring they are completing their homework every evening and are reading at least 20 minutes every evening. These habits are critical for our scholars to be successful this school year and beyond. We will also build onto our focus on literacy with our fourth annual Battle of the Books. This will kick off on Friday, January 19th and will end on March 2nd, which is Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. On March 2nd scholars should feel free to dress up as their favorite character from a book.

In addition to Battle of the Books, we have many exciting family events coming up in Quarter 3 We will have a Loteria Night during Family Council on January 18th, February 2nd will be a Read In for Battle of the Books, February 6th is our 100th Day of School, and we will hold Parent Teacher Conferences again on February 22nd. We hope to see you there! In addition, please feel free to stop by on Fridays at 12:05pm to join us for Community Circle!

We look forward to another great quarter of partnership. Thank you for all you do for your scholars and for our school!

STRIVE Prep Shout Out

We would like to shout-out our amazing parent volunteers also known as the Nacho Moms.  Since the first day of school, they have been integral to getting our school up and running. These amazing moms are best known for their Friday afternoon nacho sales, but they do so much more.  The Nacho Moms have helped cover the front desk and support the front office staff.  They have put together materials for math and writing, and most recently have been helping every morning and afternoon in our parking lot to ensure our students and families have a safe arrival and dismissal.  Thank you to these very dedicated family volunteers!
