Welcome to STRIVE Prep - Sunnyside

Reflections on Quarter 3:

• Congratulations to our 20 scholars who have already read over 1,000,000 words during this school year! We are so excited to see the life of opportunity they're building for themselves.

• Shout out to our 7th graders for putting up the top math scores on our most recent set of Interim Assessments.

• Family Council is held on the last Wednesday of every month from 6 PM - 7 PM. We look forward to seeing our families there!

Looking Ahead to Quarter 4:

• Students will take the state-mandated PARCC assessments Tuesday through Thursday during the weeks of April 11th  and April 18the. This is a great opportunity for students to show what they know, and continued school attendance will be important. On Thursday, April 28th, STRIVE Prep - Sunnyside students will join together with the rest of the schools in our network to watch members of the senior class at STRIVE Prep - SMART announce which college they plan to attend next fall. We can't wait!

STRIVE Prep Shout Out

Lee VigilShout out our 6th Grade ELA teacher, Lee Vigil, who entered her 21st year of teaching with all of the passion, empathy, and commitment that she brings to everything she does.  She speaks, and everyone listens.  We couldn’t be more fortunate to have such a strong leader inside and outside the classroom.
