Welcome to STRIVE Prep - Sunnyside

Happy 2016-2017 school year! We are excited for our rising seventh and eighth graders to continue to grow and take on leadership positions on campus. And we are excited to welcome our newest Hornets, the College Class of 2027.

Things We’re Looking Forward to in Quarter 1:

STRIVE Squads: Starting at the beginning of the school year, our 7th and 8th graders (and our 6th graders in Quarter 2) will join a STRIVE Squad – team of four students who will set goals together and problem-solve together. We are all on the college path, and it takes the work of the whole team to make that a reality.

Engaging Families Through Family Council & Volunteering: You filled out a survey at registration about events and opportunities you’d like to get involved in this year. We’re excited to have more families in the building more often.

STRIVE Prep Shout Out

Lee VigilShout out our 6th Grade ELA teacher, Lee Vigil, who entered her 21st year of teaching with all of the passion, empathy, and commitment that she brings to everything she does.  She speaks, and everyone listens.  We couldn’t be more fortunate to have such a strong leader inside and outside the classroom.
